12th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems (DYCOPS)

The 12th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems, including Biosystems will be held in Florianópolis - SC, Brazil, on April 23-26, 2019.

The Symposium will be held in the convention center at Jurerê Beach Village Hotel that is located around 30km away from Florianópolis downtown, in the heart of Jurerê beach, with calm and transparent sea waters and white sand.

DYCOPS CAB 2019 is sponsored by the IFAC Technical Committee on Chemical Process Control (6.1), co-sponsored by the IFAC Technical Committee on Biosystems and Bioprocesses (8.4) and by the Technical Committee on Control Design (2.1).

Background and Scope:

Analysis and control of process systems is a topic of active research, with applications in several real plants, such as chemical reactors, distillation columns and bioprocesses. DYCOPS symposium has a long history initiated in 1986 in Bournemouth (UK). CAB originated from a series of events that started about 40 years ago in Dijon, France. The merging of the two events into one symposium was successfully implemented in the last DYCOPS-CAB, held in Trondheim, Norway, in 2016, and will be maintained in Florianópolis, Brazil in 2019. For the first time the DYCOPS symposium comes to South America.

Objectives:

The objective of the IFAC Symposium DYCOPS CAB 2019 is to provide a forum for professionals, theorists, researchers, engineers and students involved in the broad field of process control engineering to integrate and exchange their knowledge, experience, results, and ideas in diverse areas of dynamics and control of process systems, and to explore latest theoretical developments as well as control applications in various industries.

Topics:

Both theory and applications will be covered, within topics such as:

Process control;
Dynamic modelling and simulation for control and operation;
Interaction between design and control;
