ROCOND
Over the last three decades, robust control has been a topic of active research and development of new theoretical principles, numerical methods and effective control algorithms to design and implement complex engineering control systems that provide adequate performance and stability when implemented in real plants. ROCOND’2027 will be the twelfth event on the subject of robust control design. Previous meetings were held in Rio de Janeiro (1994), Budapest (1997), Prague (2000), Milan (2003), Toulouse (2006), Haifa (2009), Aalborg (2012), Bratislava (2015), Florianópolis (2018), Kyoto (2021), and Porto (2025). In 2027, the 33rd anniversary of the first ROCOND will be celebrated.
LPVS
Linear Parameter Varying systems have state space representations that depend on time varying parameters. This class of systems allows representing several types of dynamical systems such as time-varying uncertain systems, non-linear systems, switching systems, multi-models, etc. The LPV modeling also allows the design of the so-called LPV controllers, where the control parameters are updated according to the measurable plant varying parameters. Over the last two decades, LPV systems and control techniques represent a very active topic of research within the control systems community. Motivated by this fact, the first IFAC LPVS was organized in Grenoble, France, for the first time in 2015. Next editions took place in Florianopolis (Brazil, 2018), Eindhoven (Netherlands, 2019), Milan (Italy, 2021), Montreal (Canada, 2022) and Porto (Portugal, 2025).
ROCOND & LPVS
Repeating a successful formula adopted in the events of Florianópolis (2018) and Porto (2025), the 12th ROCOND is proposed to be held jointly with the 7th IFAC Workshop on Linear Parameter-dependent Systems (LPVS’2027). The motivation for a joint organization comes from the fact that the two events have a large intersection of topics and possible attendees. A joint organization will potentially increase the number of participants and foster more fruitful discussions and interactions.
This Workshop aims at presenting new results in the field of robust control, LPV systems, and their applications in real life problems, by bringing together experts from different countries to discuss new trends, exchange new ideas, establish fruitful contacts, and promote interactions among the various fields of interest. The presentation of papers dealing with the application to practical setups and industry will also be strongly encouraged.
