Abstract

This paper presents a case that consists of an A4 (13,8 kV) consumer category, which uses a distribution transformer to connect their installations to the distribution power system. Some measurements were done, and a nonsinuidal load currents is verified. An analysis was carried out based on the concepts in the IEEE std 57.110/2018 and IEEE std 57.91/2011 standards, with the objective of quantifying the harmful phenomena that occurs in the distribution transformer, and the depreciation provided in this property in function of harmonic currents. The results obtained demonstrate that there may be a loss in the life expectancy of the transformer, accelerating the depreciation of the assets, negatively interfering in the costs of that company.
