Abstract

We propose a simplified economic predictive controller (EMPC) for supervisory control of an oil producing well. 6he proposed controller uses a gradient-based methodology to approximate an economic function. We change the controller to depend on a disturbance estimator and input/output data. Finally, we test this linear EMPC in a scenario considering disturbances and noise. The proposed controller always tends to the optimal economic point.
